Emerging Bible Study led by Jim Mullaney
This study, which meets on Sunday morning at 10:45 am in the Chapel, is for those with little to no Biblical study background or casual and occasional study. In this study, the Bible and Bible study notes will be the only resource. The focus will be on Biblical books and Biblical individuals with character. The class will be interactive and conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. All discussion will be welcomed without judgment, condemnation or criticism. Bibles will be provided, if needed.
"In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."
Very beautiful prose, simple words yet very deep meaning. Beginning the week of March 22, the Emerging Bible Study class will begin a study of the Book of John. Some belive this to be one of the most important books of the Bible and surely one we should all read and understand before we die.
Our study class has three basic rules:
1. Everyone participates. 2. Whatever is discussed stays in the room. 3. All opinions and ideas are expressed without criticism.
