The leadership of Lindenwald Church has been meeting regularly for three years now in order to understand God's vision for continued ministry. Just like the patriarch Jacob, our leaders have also struggled and wrestled and prayed together as they sought to hear God's voice for our future. God was calling us to make tougth, yet informed and faithful decisions concerning our church. On Sunday, January 11, 2009, Lindenwald United Methodist held a church conference for the purpose of making a decision on moving forward with church renovations. After all those attending listened to the presentations and voiced opinions or concerns, a vote was taken of all actual church members present.

The next step in the process was to raise funds for church renovations and going forward with the resolutions that were passed at our January Church Conference.
As Tim Crowe stated in his April 2009 Winds of the Spirit article, "The Vision for the future always begins with each of us and involves a change in our hearts to be active participants in the ministry of God’s Church known as “Lindenwald.” Our Vision involves attracting new members to our congregation and developing new worship services for them. Reaching out to the community through meals, prayer drive thru, online Bible studies and other new programs to help us all develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
It also involves raising monetary support for the staffing, programs and building renovations necessary to allow LUMC to be a growing, self-sustaining, multi– generational congregation."
To that end, a fund raising team was devloped to begin the work of raising the $250,000 needed to financially support our Vision.
Through the reports and pictures found on this page, you will find further information about this campaign as well as information on church renovations.

On Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 3:00 pm, Lindenwald UMC held a special Church Conference, the purpose of which was to determine the use of rental property to offset a negative cash flow condition resulting from the modification and Miracle Sunday schedule. This included the request to sell some of the rental property, if needed. If you would like to read the minutes from the Church Conference, click on the file to the right.
